Final concert – Piano recital with Danae Dörken
Promoted by Yehudi Menuhin at the age of seven, the German-Greek pianist Danae Dörken, with her “sparkling joy of playing” (Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger), caused a sensation early in major European concert halls. After studying with the piano pedagogues Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Lars Vogt, she is a regular guest of leading orchestras today. This season she has performed Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto with “much brilliance and brilliance” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) with the Munich Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, Danae Dörken and her sister Kiveli founded the Molyvos International Music Festival (MIMF) on the island of Lesbos, which has been held annually since then.
